Summary

You are invited to attend the 2022 Covenant Keepers Summer Fellowship Retreat scheduled for July 28 - 31, 2022 in the beautiful Amish country of Lancaster, PA. Nestled in the bountiful farmlands of Lancaster is the Sight & Sound Theatre which is producing the biblical story of David live on stage. We’ll stay at the charming Traveler’s Rest Motel which is within 15 minutes of the theatre. There you will find country accommodations in a beautiful farm setting.

Different from a traditional Covenant Keepers Conference filled with speakers and a tightly packed agenda, this is a fellowship retreat designed to give you a time of peace, rest for your soul, fellowship time, and time to receive ministry.

Because this is a fellowship retreat, Covenant Keepers will not be collecting fees directly. You will be responsible for booking flights, hotels, ground transportation, and tickets for David on your own. We will provide an agenda with activities you may wish to participate in but all expenses are paid by you. You get to choose which activities interest you!

So take a leap of faith! God has something for you! If you are brand new to Covenant Keepers, you will gain a family of believers who trust God to heal their marriages. You will make amazing friends who will pray for you and your covenant marriage even when you go back home. Many people have met lifelong friends by attending our conferences. You will too! Pray about it and then, just do it! God will provide the way!

Sight & Sound Theatres - David Live On Stage Tickets

The Covenant Keepers group will be attending an evening showing of David Live On Stage at the world-famous Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster. Master Poet. Fearless Warrior. Anointed King. From still waters to shadowed valleys, David’s ascent to the throne is filled with towering giants, wild animals, and Philistine soldiers. After unprecedented victories lead to devastating failures, this passionate warrior will face the biggest battle of all: the one within himself.

Experience one of the most legendary Bible stories as it comes to life with spectacular special effects, massive sets, and live animals in this brand-new original stage production.

To attend this event, you will have to purchase tickets on your own. Please do this as soon as possible. This is the first year since March of 2020 that Sight & Sound is back to hosting live events and there is tremendous demand for tickets. July is peak visitor season and tickets are expected to sell out many weeks before the event. Don't be the person who couldn’t get tickets. Order these as soon as you can.

In order for you to be seated together with CK friends, one member of your group must purchase all the tickets for your party. Covenant Keepers will not be facilitating this so it is on you to call your friends in your group and organize a group purchase or let them know what row and seat you just purchased. Very similar to Broadway seats, they can’t hold seats and you’ll have to purchase them together to get seats next to each other. If you are coming alone, don’t worry! We’ll have time before and after the show to connect so you won’t be alone for long!

David Live On Stage
Location: Lancaster, PA
Show: David (2022)
Show Date: Friday, July 29, 2022 at 7:00 PM
Ticket Quantity: However many in your party
Then Choose Your Seats
Pro tip for those who are new to Sight & Sound Theatres. You can’t go wrong with seats. The show is so immersive, all seats are great. For panoramic views, the balcony is highly recommended. If you want to see the “whites of the performer’s eyes” we recommend towards the front. The best blend of both is first-floor seats midway back.

Group Fellowship Meal

We don’t yet have all of the arrangements made for our group fellowship meal scheduled for Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 5:00 PM. Please check back again for details. We will post our location here. Reminder, cost for dinner is your responsibility. We’ll order separate checks for each party to meet everyone’s budget requirements.

Sunday Church Service

We’ve been blessed every time we have had events in the past. We select a non-denominational Christian church in the area to worship and we often reach out to the local senior pastor to let them know we are coming as a group. This year, we will be worshipping at Petra Church in New Holland, PA (https://petra.church). We recommend you bring one outfit that you would consider church appropriate. As with many churches, what is important is that you come, not what you wear so don’t stress! We’ll keep our focus on giving God the glory for an amazing weekend in Lancaster, PA. For those who have or rented cars, we’ll car pool to the church and back.

Have Questions? We Have Answers!

Q: How do I register for the event?
A: There will be a simple name and e-mail registration on our events page. This does not obligate you to attend. It simply helps with our event planning and for name badges.

Q: I’m new to Covenant Keepers. Am I still welcome to attend?
A: My goodness yes! You are welcome in our community! We are friendly, Christ-centered, great listeners and excited to meet you. Join us!

Q: Does my marriage have to be in crisis to attend?
A: My goodness no! Married couples are not only welcome, they are prayed for! We have many husbands and wives who attend Covenant Keeper events and serve as Godly encouragement to others whose marriages are under attack. Serve God and join us!

Q: Does Covenant Keepers charge for event registration?
A: No. This is a fellowship retreat and does not require a registration fee.

Q: What expenses do I need to plan for?
A: All expenses including airfare, hotel, ground transportation, food and beverage are your responsibility.

Q: Will Covenant Keepers be accepting tithes and offerings at the retreat?
A: Yes. Please pray and sow into your marriage restoration and Christian ministries like Covenant Keepers to continue supporting marriages around the world. We’ll take up a love offering at our fellowship dinner on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

Q: How do I make my travel reservations?
A: You may use your favorite travel app like Expedia, Travelocity or others. You may also book directly with the airline and hotel.

Q: How do I get tickets to David at Sight & Sound Theatre?
A: You must book these tickets directly through Sight & Sound. Alternatively, the Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn do offer combined stay and theater packages if you choose from their stay packages. Be sure you book for Friday, July 29, 2022 for the 7:00 PM show.

Q: I’m coming with friends from my small group. How do book in the same room or get David tickets seated together?
A: You will have to coordinate amongst yourselves. We recommend you choose one person in your party to book hotel and purchase tickets and then you can split the costs at the hotel. Covenant Keepers will not be coordinating this.

Q: I’m coming as a single. How do I get connected while I am there?
A: We will be distributing name tags from people who registered on our events page. While you are at the Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn or any one of our events, wear your name tag and we’ll find each other in the crowd. We’ll also distribute a full agenda where you can meet up with the group.

Q: I want to attend but this is expensive. What can I do?
A: A great way to save money includes finding friends to reserve quad occupancy in the hotel. You may also choose another hotel venue that better fits your budget. While we will miss you, you could choose to opt out of the Sight & Sound Theatre experience. Its ok. We have some who will drive for long distances, stay at camp grounds, eat modestly just to be in fellowship with other Covenant Keepers. God will provide a way. We’ll pray for provision for you to join us. Trust that He will provide!

Q: What ever happened to the old Covenant Keepers Annual Conference in Charlotte, NC?
A: After receiving feedback that Covenant Keepers packed in so much content into one event, we have changed our programming to hosting 2 virtual conferences (spring and fall) and 1 dedicated fellowship retreat each year. The idea is to make our teaching, preaching and testimonies more accessible to people all around the world by hosting events virtually. Then, through our fellowship retreat, we can dedicate time to fellowship, building relationships, pray and rest. We’d love your feedback for the future!

Q: I love these events! Are there any in my area?
A: Not like this one but we have other opportunities for in-person fellowship through our Regional Yellow Ribbon Days. Our small group leaders often host small regional events throughout the world. Each one is different ranging from local barbeques hosted in homes to multi-day events hosted at retreat centers. Keep an eye out for regional yellow ribbon days at https://ckministry.org/events.
