By Starr Lichty, Covenant Keepers Board Member & Pastor Koji Bell, Covenant Keepers Director
With COVID-19, we have been hit with major turbulence in so many ways, including with our finances. It is easy to feel a great concern about everything. Who holds our future? How do we conduct our finances including our giving during this unsettled time?
Let’s consider Jesus’ parable about the wise man and the foolish man, each who built a house. Jesus said the wise man built his house upon a rock. When the rains descended with floods and winds, the house stood firm. He compared the house built upon the sand by the foolish man. When the rains descended with floods and winds, this house fell flat and great was the fall! Matthew 7:24-29.
Yes, we are in the midst of a turbulence affecting all of us. So what is Jesus implying with this parable for us at this time? The question is what and Who is holding us firm so we do not fall flat! Psalm 18:2a&b (NIV) The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock in whom I take refuge. Hebrews 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in Him.
Your contribution to this Covenant Keepers ministry is much appreciated. And so we pray that you experience Him as your firm rock. Do not be afraid of the storms and the turbulence all around. He is your fortress and refuge. Because you gave in His name, He will be your rock and deliverer. Many are benefitting from this ministry of hope as they search for direction. Covenant Keepers Ministry assists us to build our house on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Your contribution will help fund so many important ministry initiatives we have underway including:
